A truly unique Island, the Isle of Man isn’t part of the United Kingdom or the European Union but a possession of the British Crown. Situated between the coasts of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, in the middle of the Irish Sea, it boasts stunning coastlines, rich countryside and picturesque towns rich in folklore and culture. This holiday includes visits to Castle Rushem, Silverdale Glen Waterwheel and Peel and includes journeys on the Isle of Man Steam Railway and the Snaefell Mountain Railway.

Day 2: Silverdale Glen, Castle Rushem & IOM Steam Railway
This morning we travel to the Silverdale Glen complex, which is home to the award winning Manx Ices and powered by a refurbished 18th Century waterwheel. From here we continue south to the ancient capital of Castletown and see the wonderfully preserved Castle Rushen. We see the wonderful views around Calf Sound, before arriving in Port Erin, nestling in a scenic bay. From here step back in time and hop aboard the island’s Steam Railway for the journey back to Douglas. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Manx Electrical Railway - Snaefell Mountain Railway & Peel
This morning we walk to the nearby station for the Manx Electrical Railway, a well maintained Victorian railway stretching over 17 miles of the Island. We travel to Laxey where we have a included visit of ‘Lady Isabella‘ the world’s largest working watermill and perhaps the best known image of the island. From here we ride on the Snaefell Mountain Railway; a spectacular climb to the island’s highest point at 2036ft. Afterwards join our coach and travel across the scenic centre of the island to the sleepy town of Peel, said to be the best example of a typical Manx town, with its dramatic castle. Late afternoon we return to Douglas by coach. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Ramsey & Milntown Gardens
Today we travel by coach to Ramsey, the main town to the north of the island, where admission to the beautifully maintained Milntown Gardens is included. Afterwards we return by coach to Douglas at midday where the rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner at the hotel.
